1st Month

The Sperm and egg joined, they determined the baby's innate characteristics- and the journey begins. Obviously this part was done out side of my body and then transferred in.

Slowly at first and then more rapidly, the two fertilized eggs divided into two cells, then four, then eight... so on and so on. Some 266 days later there will be billions and billions of many different kinds of cells.

During the 1st month, those little balls of cells cradled near the top of my uterus and has a huge job to do. The cells on the outside of the ball will become the placenta. Attached to the wall of the uterus, the placenta will link the baby to me throughout the pregnancy... as life support. The cells on the inside of the ball be become part of the baby.
