The doctor took a nice long look at my thumb yesterday and examined it thoroughly. Said that she didn't see anything else in there. Although it is swollen and red, she reassured me that it wasn't infected and may just take longer to heal. She gave me some free topical antibiotic cream (pregnancy safe) to apply. Told me to keep it clean and then went on to tell me to avoid people with the FLU and to wash hands, don't touch my eyes, nose or mouth unless I have just washed my hands and to avoid crowds. She said that there are meds out there; however they aren't safe for women who are pregnant. I didn't realize until yesterday that neosporan isn't safe for me... hummm... got to make sure I am careful!
