Just the basics...

VBS is over and we had a great time! To do a little recap... I was in charge of teaching the 1st night, games the 2nd and mostly did snacks the 3rd. The fishing game was fun and the kids really enjoyed catching and tossing. LOL Snacks were great too. We made animals out of the food and then ate. The kids had a blast! I wasn't able to do snacks for the last group of kids. I was helping the director wrap up some last minute things. All in all it was a huge success!!! Special thank you to all my YOUTH DIGG kids who volunteered!!!

My birthday weekend went well! Friday I spent it enjoying the last night of VBS. Saturday we attended a friends (aka 2nd daughter's) 16th birthday pool party. Then we did some landscape shopping and bought some bricks to create a nice flower garden. Later hubby took me to see The Proposal and it was awesome! We came home and had a small slice of my triple chocolate bday cake. yummo!!! Sunday we attended church then he took me to lunch. I had been wanting boneless bbq wings so that is what I got. Then we went home and I relaxed and napped a couple hours. I got up and enjoyed a small slice of cake w/ ice cream then headed to church with my son. Afterwards we watched the movie "Never Been Kissed" that my son bought me for my birthday. It was a great movie too!

Busy week; however I really enjoyed it. Oh I almost forgot! Saturday while we were out and about. We stopped by a friends house and she was showing me her garden. Well somehow in my flip flops I managed to step... just right and get stung on the instep of my foot. It swelled up, so I took some Tylenol and iced it. Yesterday and today it is very itchy!!!

Tired today and plan on going to bed early tonight... *yawn*

THANK YOU M&M!!!

Hyacinth: Smell the fragrance of life and allow the taste upon your tongue, for the beauty of all is with you, when the senses are not clouded with the daily ritual of the mundane. Keep the spirit strong with blessings of gratitude.

I just received the most beautiful flowers. They are blue and purple and gorgeous!!! It came with an exquisite pink vase. I wished I had a camera where I could take a photo of the actual arrangement; however this is a photo of what the flower looks like. I also feel blessed to have M&M in my life and to have the honor of carrying these boys for them. THANK YOU for my birthday gift... I love it!

Vacation Bible School

I had an awesome time last night teaching the lesson on the first night to the groups. The lesson room is decorated w/a huge tree on the wall, small picnic table & basket, leaves on the floor, a tent, sleeping bags, cooler, camping chairs, a canoe and fish on the floor by it. We sat under the tree and I told the story about Jesus choosing Peter to be one of his disciples. How Peter was a fisherman. After fishing all night and catching nothing, Jesus suggested a small change "cast the net on the other side of the boat". By obeying Jesus, Peter and his team of fishermen ended up catching more fish then they every had before. The main topic was how Peter and each of us are loved and accepted by Jesus. After the story we got in the boat and played a game. At the end I asked them to step out of the boat like Jesus asked Peter AND to follow Him. It was a great fun filled evening!

However, it was a long night! I didn't get home until almost 10:30 and it was 11:30 by the time my head hit the pillow. I was exhausted and woke up several times with my legs aching from all the standing & squatting I did. I prayed a prayer this morning that my body would hold up for 2 more days. lol

Tonight I will be in charge of games... and we are fishing! woohoo. I don't anticipate tonight being as late as last night. I will make sure I have my props ready for Friday's obstacle coarse then get home and to bed asap. However Friday evening will be late since I want to clean up the lesson room before leaving.

Ok deep breathes.. it was a blast and I had a great time!

ps. tomorrows my bday... yippie! I love birthdays!

Several Milestones...

...occur this month. The eyelids are completely formed and closed over eyes that can react to changes in light. The nose, lips and chin are distinct and the entire body is covered with downy hair called lanugo. The external genitalia become distinctly male. Their neck is long enough to lift the chin off the chest. The legs have grown almost as long as the arms and the abdomen is now large enough for the intestines to fit properly inside it as they keep growing. As the boys' body grow, so do their muscles, which means that they can begin to flex the arms and legs that were mere bumps only a few weeks ago. nails have begun to form on the fingers, but they will be soft until after delivery. Fingerprints are forming. The liver begins to make bile, which is needed for digestion. Facial features, too, are becoming more distinct, and teeth are growing underneath the gums. Soon the babies will begin to hear and react to the noisy world of the uterus. The hair begins to grown on the body too this month. Eyebrows...

Like a scuba diver with his oxygen tank or a space traveler tethered to the mother ship, the boys float effortlessly in the amniotic sac, receiving nourishment and oxygen through the sturdy umbilical cord. Arms and legs, so short a few weeks ago, have grown long enough to touch each other. The boys are thin because nutrients have been used for the creation and functioning of organs, bones and muscles. But over the next few months, more and more of the nutrients the babies receive will go toward laying down fat under their skin and rounding out the proportions.

Ok I have to share this... Last night the boys were taking turns doing flips I believe. They were laying butt up/head down according to the last ultrasound. Well last night I really believe baby B decided to turn because there was a knot under my belly button. It hurt to the touch and was so sensitive all night. It had to have been his butt pushing to get his body turned... or maybe he was turned and it was his head... all I know is it wasn't a walk in the park. I am not complaining though... it was great to feel them moving. Baby A just felt like he was trying to get out of his brother's way... hummm....

Wow is all I can say!

They have contests for everything these days. I have been know to enter all sorts of contests. Weight loss, singing, eating... but never anything that had to do with me in a bikini. And I don't plan on it now! LOL

This week has been a little harder for me. I had a headache that turned in to something worse for several hours. I am so thankful that has passed. Also the boys are really growing this week because I am feeling some major stretching going on inside... ie: pain for me. I typically massage the area or ask hubby to gently rub my belly to ease the tension on it. So far that helps (about 75% of the time). I am sure it will just get worse as I get further along.

If you have read Twilight, I often think of Bella when she is pregnant when I am having my pains. Not that I think a rib is breaking or anything... the book just crosses my mind. LOL

Although there is pain and discomfort, I am so happy to be able to carry the twins for M&M. It helps me to know that God has used me for a purpose greater than Me.

Thoughts

Week 15 is almost over!!! The boys should start being more active now.

Busy weekend is what I have!!! Tonight after work, I will be helping set up for tomorrows yard sale/bake sale. Ok I am honestly ONLY doing the bake sale, considering someone will have to manage all those Youth Digg kids. LOL So we are talking 8am-2pm is what I have in mind for the bake sale... I hope it can end there....

Next weekend I need to do some outside work... my house is in need of some color. I am terribly late on planting flowers though... I hope they take ok....

3 Months Down... 6 to Go!

I am a little behind on posting this one.
This past month the babies' back have straighten and their arms and legs and long enough to bend at tiny elbows and knees. They have fingers and toes and can actually touch it's face. The vocal cords and inner ear are also developing. The babies are recognizably human now. Since most of the internal organs are up and running now, the next 6 months will be about growing the boys.

Disappointed!

Yoga, sucked! I have to say I have been to a lot of yoga classes and this was by far the worst ever. It was suppose to be a Stress Relief Yoga class. They have tons of different kinds of yoga classes. Anywho! This was anything BUT that class. She had us bopping around from pose to pose with NO pauses to hold the poses. It felt like an aerobic yoga. Also my friend came with me. This was her first ever class and we told the teacher... other instructors in the past have come over and made sure the newbies were positioned right... but not this one. Heck we moved so quickly from one pose to the other that she wouldn't have had the time anyways. Needless to say, we are not going back to that class.

Maybe I will do Zumba again or a Swim Class instead... hummm
