Week #4

This is the end of the Twitter Contest! 28 days of hard work has got me really pumped. The funny thing about this is, I have been so distracted by other areas of my life that I haven't really focussed on losing weight, yet somehow I have managed to loose 8 lbs! I will keep you posted on the challenge results as they are made known to me.

Week #3!

Earlier this past week, I spoke to my nutritionist about this plateau I seem to be on. After taking her and my trainers advice, I seemed to have broke past the invisible line that was holding me back. My goal for the Twitter 4 week challenge is to lose at least 6 lbs. As of this morning, I have lost 7 lbs. I feel great and really motivated to continue the weight loss.

This week my thinking process has taken a total flip flop. Although it could have easily increased my level of stress and caused a reverse reaction, I am so glad that it didn't. As a matter of fact, I felt even more in control. I am participating in these challenges to increase my level of healthiness. I am in good health right now, however I want to be in excellent health. Here is to a new chapter in my life!

My 2nd week

Boy time sure does fly when you aren't paying close attention. This past week was a great success. I managed to get in all my workouts, volley ball games and meeting that were scheduled. I was on target for the average calories this week and burned well more than I took in. Why is it that I am stuck... right here on this plateau? How can you do all you should and not make any progess? Why it is that you manage your time so you can get in that 1/2 hr of hip hop dance right before showering and rushing off to teach the youth service, yet still be seemingly standing still?

Although I am not happy about it, I am ok with it. Acceptance is the key. Accept that I am doing all I can to make a healthy change in my life.

Well I am 1/2 way through my Twitter challenge and I am 1 pound away from my goal for this 4 week contest. Onward! and Downward!!! Fun, Fun, FUN!

My 1st week

This past weekend we were wrapping up our Youth Digg Camping trip. By Tuesday I was feeling really bloated with a ton of indigestion. I wasnt really good as far as eating went on Tuesday so it just compounded to the issue. My starting picture on the 1st was worse than expected... will compare at the end of the contests. Wednesday I was back on track though and by Thursday my 'issues' had disappeared. Tell me why I eat those foods if they cause my body so much pain? Is it the types of food or the quantity? Either way my belly feels alot slimmer now that I am eating 'clean' again. The scale has loved me too this week, rewarding me with progressive lower numbers. I did the TT 2K3 on Wednesday with Kris. Thursday and Friday I did the "bonus round" TT. Today we, the family, hoped on our bikes and rode to the next town for ice cream and back. We are talking 15 MILES! I opted for a small Strawberry Sundae totally just under 400 calories. The bike ride however burned almost 600 calories. So I came out on top today! The trail we ride use to be an old rail road. They have taken out the 'ties' and stuff and paved it. Plenty of trees and shade. Well that is my week. Got off to a rocky start however I finished good.

The Plan

1st contest on Twitter.com is for the month of Sept. My goal is to lose 6 - 10 pounds this month. The second one is on TT board. This is a 12 week contest. Same as before. Both contests started on the 1st of September, so there is an over lap. My goal for the TT contest is to lose 20 -25 pounds. Good hard-working goals if I do say so myself.

The PLAN:

Eat clean~ started the 3rd and after 1.5 days, I feel 100% better than before. No more indigestion and no more bloatiness. I will stick to whole foods mostly.

TT Exercise~ started the 3rd on the TT 2K3 Fat Loss workout. I have scheduled my so I get in 3 days of TT 2K3 and 2 days of interval biking. I will continue this plan for 4 weeks and at that point I will switch up my exercise and do a different plan. TBA

I was listening to a program on WFRN, a christian radio station, last month. He made a statement that has really got me thinking. I think I will make it a goal of mine. He said something to the effect that he doesnt try to exercise 3 days a week like his doctor told him was the healthiest way to live. He said, he exercises like he brushes his teeth: it is part of his "Daily Routine". I want to work towards that... I want being healthy to be part of my daily routine. Whether I am doing TT or just playing Volley Ball with my kids in the backyard. I want exercise to be a fun part of my daily routine. So the question arises.... How bad do I want it?
