Murder Mystery

I am sad to inform you that my calories were murdered yesterday in broad day light. It was a mystery murder at first. The evidence wasn't so apparent! There were bites... ummm.. I mean bits and pieces of clues. As I journaled my food for the day, I noticed it took me longer to enter and I was adding double the typical amount of items. There wasn't any large numbers, it seemed. 78 calories here; 42 calories there, what could it have been? Half way through the entering I thought to myself, there isnt one thing I can pin point that caused this mountain of numbers. It must be that I took a bite of everything at the Soccer Cookout. NO it WAS the Soccer Cookout's fault for having all that food! Then reality set in... I seen it! Right there in plain sight... it was... it was... the culprit! Clear as day, on my monitor screen... The weapon ~ French Silk Pie! What caused the murder, you ask? DEATH BY CHOCOLATE! A beautiful & tasty creature, yet she packed a punch of 377 calories for that one slice.

The Demon

I just love this car! This is what I would call my DREAM CAR! I love the color, the curves and the sportiness of it! Not much to say about it other than, I want it! It is on my "to buy" list! When I can afford more than one vehicle, I hope to have this parked in my garage.

Smiles!

Aftermath!

I am here to report I survived Mother's Day Weekend! Saturday we were very busy. TT Workout, breakfast, cleaning, Soccer Game (1 1/2 drive), lunch, visiting his Mother, dinner out with her, grocery shopping and then back home to rest. Sunday Chad cooked breakfast for me (us), church, Jamie (my best friend) came over to help pot some plants, Chad and son cooked Lasagna while daughter, Jamie and I potted. Then we watched ALIVE! Once that was over we had dessert (Fruit Salad) and then Jamie went home. Chad & I took a drive to see his step mother and spent a couple hours there visiting w/ her and his dad.

All and all it was a wonderful day filled with laughter and tears.

(sigh)

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is always filled with mixed emotions! I love being a mother to my 2 beautiful children. I enjoy the moments of tears and laughter that the day brings when they do small and big things to express their love for me. I am also filled with regret that I can not express my LOVE fully to my precious mother. Living in different states, it is impossible to show her how much she really means to me. The woman that gave me birth and raised me to live a good Christian life. The woman who kept me out of trouble most days and who shaded me from being spot lighted with I wasn't so good. I thank God she is still with me so I can call her; send her flowers and a card! They say children are a gift and I know my two are a gift from God, However I feel she is... My Mother, My Friend, My Gift!

The Workout!

Turbulence Training Bodyweight Workout ~ Beginner's Work Out has really kicked our butts! Yes I said it was a beginner's work out and it has kicked OUR butts! This work out is like no other we have done. It is very intense and pushes us to new levels. Even the warm up gets the blood pumping! We are averaging 1 hr: start to finish. It was designed to be 45 min, however since it is new to us we have to take a few seconds here and there to view the 'how to' sheet. We love the varity we get through out the entire program. We really feel we have had put our entire being into the work out when we are done. The interval training at the end is great as well. The highs and lows are a great mix up to the normal mundand of the typical walking we do. This is a 4 week exercise plan... then we move up to the Intermediate!

Apples

You've heard, "an apple a day will keep the doctor away." While it will certainly take more than a daily apple to keep you healthy, it is a step in the right direction. Apples are delicious, easy to carry for snacking, low in calories, a natural mouth freshener, and they are still very inexpensive.

It is a good idea to eat apples with their skin. Almost half of the vitamin C content is just underneath the skin. Eating the skin also increases insoluble fiber content. Most of an apple's fragrance cells are also concentrated in the skin and as they ripen, the skin cells develop more aroma and flavor.

There are hundreds of varieties of apples on the market today, although most people have only tasted one or two of the most popular such as Red Delicious or Granny Smith. Apples can be sweet, tart, soft and smooth or crisp and crunchy, depending on the one you choose. There is an apple to suit almost everyone's taste, so why not choose one. Have an apple today!

Zumba

Zumba is a very fun dance! I attended my 2nd class this past Thursday and just loved it. The moves were fun and energetic! The energy was reviving! The class is a nice size and I feel very comfortable there. I do what I can do and just have fun with it! If you ever consider Zumba, I would suggest that you go. You get to shake your booty, pump the abs and laugh while you are doing it!

Search for Zumba and find a class near YOU!

Day 2

I was just informed that my hubby, Chad, can enter the competition too! OMG, he was shocked and a little apprehensive about it! However, he has decided to join. I am so proud of him, stepping out of his shell like that! It is great to have something in common. (lol) I have renamed this to represent us both, even though I am the one posting.

Tatta' for now...
